Born in Rawalpindi, Ejaz Khan Jaazi is one of the 10 sons of Shamroz Khan. After completing his early education from Mission High School, Trunk Bazaar, Rawalpindi, he went to Gordon College and got Master’s degree in Pakistan Studies from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad.
He used to enjoy kite-flying during his childhood. A good sportsman, he has been captain of his college’s basketball team. He also likes cricket.
In the beginning he wanted to join the police force but ended up being a businessman. World Range Motors, a showroom of motorcars, is his source of income.
Politics has been his passion since student life. During the reign of late Muhammad Khan Junejo, he stepped into politics by joining the Muslim Students Federation as a student leader in 1985. He contested election for a Punjab Assembly seat in 2002.
He was politically affiliated with PML-N till december 2008, as he feels that Imran Khan and Nawaz Sharif are the only worthwhile leaders in the current era. He feels that Imran Khan, whose love for Pakistan is pure and unconditional, truly believes in ‘justice for all’ motto.
He is an admirer of Iranian President Muhammad Ahmadinejad and believes that leadership itself found new meanings in the personality of Ahmadinejad, whom he considers a true Muslim leader.
He is inclined towards religion and takes pride in being a follower of Islam. He strongly believes that Pakistani nation must stick to the Islamic values and take inspiration from the glorious past of the Muslims.
He quotes Allama Iqbal with great respect: ‘Mera tareeq ameeri naheen faqeeri hai; Khudi na baich ghareebi main naam paida kar.’
Currently residing at College Road, Rawalpindi, he is married and has two kids.
Joining of PTI
Ejaz Khan Jazi during his interview (January 2008) with the team of "Pakistani Leaders online" showed his respect and great admiration for Imran Khan. He finally joined PTI in December 2008. PTI awarded him ticket for NA-55 bye- elections after Haji Pervaiz Khan resigned from NA-55 seat. In the by-elections held on 24th February 2010 he secured 3500 votes.
Ejaz Khan Jaazi was given ticket for NA-55 in the bye elections held on 24 th February 2010 but he remained unsuccessful.
